With over 27 years of experience in the electrical and construction industries, Ray Smith has built a reputation for timeliness, exceptional craftsmanship, and high-quality work. Specializing in home remodeling and renovations for over 25 years, Ray’s attention to detail and commitment to excellence set him apart in the industry.

A Kansas City native, Ray graduated from Center High School (1988-1992) and continued honing his skills at Johnson County Community College. His extensive experience in residential and commercial construction has allowed him to transform countless homes and spaces, always delivering superior craftsmanship. In 2019, he played a crucial role in California’s Hardening Project, helping rebuild infrastructure after the devastating wildfires.

His experience speaks for itself, and his commitment to excellence is evident in every job he takes on. Josh Akognon, one of our owners, brings the same relentless drive and dedication to S&J Blueprints that fueled his 13-year career as a professional athlete. He has played basketball at the highest levels, including the NBA with the Dallas Mavericks and Memphis Grizzlies, as well as representing Nigeria in the 2016 Rio Olympics. His journey has taken him across the globe, competing in China, Italy, Serbia, Greece, Lithuania, Spain, and Russia, among others.
